Great Sites, Bad food
Our driver Patrick was pleasant and very knowledgeable. The cliffs were fantastic. The restaurant we stopped at was not good. An overpriced cafeteria. Overall good experience
BOOK WITH CAUTION
Originally booked small group cliffs of moher tour and received a text within 12 hours of the tour it was canceled for low demand. The company did not offer any assistance to rebook/cancel on our behalf, had to do with viator customer service. Luckily could get on a different tour for the next morning but was very disappointed they did not give 24 hours notice as they require if clients cancel.
Small hiccups, excellent over-all
We LOVED the tour. Allen, our driver, was funny and engaging. He was highly professional, handling a very diverse group of 12 strangers with professionalism. The sites we saw were truly epic. The Cliffs of Moher were, of course, of course, breath-taking! The o ly reason I didn't give the trip a full 5 star rating was that there were unclear instructions on the ticket. There were 2 separate groups that ended up at the pick up spot over an hour early because of it. Clear up the instructions and it will be perfect! I would highly recommend this tour.
Tour to Cliffs of Moher
This tour was great! We saw the Cliffs at Moher from the walking path and a boat ride. We loved the stop at the castle and the history learned. Our tour guide, Jimmy, was amazing. He’s full of facts and fun conversations. The ease of having a driver to get us around made the day so much more enjoyable. What a great Ireland experience.
Iconic Ireland
Be aware--this tour crosses from one coast to the other in Dublin, so it is a loooong day, although being on a van versus a tourist bus was helpful. (Be prepared, the weather was warm and sunny--yes, we got lucky--but it was freezing on the bus so we needed our coats after all.) We appreciated getting to see the Cliffs of Moher without having to book a car and try driving on the "other side of the road." And the cliffs are beautiful to see, well worth the visit. Also worthwhile was the ice cream for sale in a booth past the cliff tower--delicious! For me, the surprise of the trip was our stop at Bunratty Castle. I had not expected much, perhaps a wander through some ruins. But, in fact, this castle, while small, was in reasonably good shape. It was easy to imagine how life at the castle might have been back in the day. There are several twists and turns, and some negotiation was needed to get up the narrow stairways with other tourists coming down, but well worth it. Additionally, the entire village has been restored here, so we got to see small residences, the school building, and much more. Again, this was a long day, but it was worth the trip!
