Our professional tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel, by car / bus to the Digital Exhibition Center of Mogao Grottoes, you will watch 2 films before visit the grottoes, one film is introduce the back ground of Dunhuang, another one in the 360 degree cinema, you will watch 7 excellent caves, our tour guide will prepare the foreign language audio for you. Then by bus to Mogao Grottoes, you will visit 8 or 10 caves in this tour. all of the caves has over 1,000 years old. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) listed the Mogao Grottoes on the World Heritage List in 1987. According to archaeologists, it is the greatest and most consummate repository of Buddhist art in the world.Despite erosion and man-made destruction, the 492 caves are well preserved, with frescoes covering an area of 45,000 square meters, more than 2,000 colored sculptured figures and five wooden eaves overhanging the caves.
