Corniglia is located on top of an hill and offers enchanting views over the Cinque Terre panaroma. From Manarola to Vernazza transfer will be by coastal train. Your driverguide (a driver knowledgable about the areas visited) will be with you at all time, except on the transfer by coastal train between Manarola and Vernazza.

Jus as you would imagine Cinque Terre to be

Overall the trip was good, but some situational things got in the way. Weather was not perfect, so the boat ride (which gives you the best experience) was not available due to winds/waves. The guide was very good, but logistically 8 adults in a van makes it difficult to hear what the driver is saying unless you are in the front seat with driver. Many of us missed much of Jonathan’s commentary even in the second row of seats… and as we were in third row, we missed all of it. As a result of the boat not operating, we took trains between three of the cities that make up Cinque Terre. It was ok… again not blaming anyone, just a fact of the weather situation. Not really enough time in any one place… to enjoy the scenery and stroll the shops. Wonderful lunch in Vernazza -Gianni Franzi-we didn’t have to wait very long for a table… every dish was delicious. As you would expect in this area, lots of stairs and inclines… worth the climbing, but expect to be tired at the end of the day. We did have a wonderful day. Jonathan was very pleasant and personable and checked in often with all of us.

Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre is hard to get to but worth all the trouble. Our driver took us to Monterossa so we could swim and avoid the train.
