Your tour begins with pickup from your Cusco hotel in time for a morning departure. Traveling in the comfort of a private vehicle, enjoy views across the Sacred Valley of the Incas on the around 1-hour journey to Chinchero.
On arrival, set out to explore the Andean town, stopping to admire its original Adobe church and browse the stalls of the local markets, renowned for their colorful textiles and traditional handicrafts.
Continue to the circular terraces of Moray and follow your guide around the fascinating ruins, built by the Incas as an agricultural research station. Hear how the Incas used the terraces to experiment growing crops at different altitudes and take photos of the remarkable site, which resembles a grass-covered amphitheater.
The final stop of the day is the Maras Salt Mines, or Salinas, another unique Inca site, featuring hand-built terraced ‘pools’ in which salt water was evaporated in the sun, enabling them to harvest the salt.
Back in Cusco, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
