Chimpanzee Island Day Escape

Guests will enjoy a boat ride to the island. They will be given a briefing on the history and happenings of the Island, the chimpanzees; their names, profile, and story. At feeding time guests will be led to the platforms where they will watch the chimps come out from the forest to feed. Guests will be able to participate in the feeding. It is the highlight. The rest of the tour will be to check out the chimps in 'detention', and the sick bay. Finally, guests can wander around the island, enjoy a packed lunch if any until they are ready to leave the tranquil space.

This day escape is a pretty straightforward activity. However, with Venture Out, our forte is taking that which is simple and adding so much value and richness to it that it isn't merely hanging out with chimps, it's a wholesome experience.

As we walk to the pier, we'll tell you a bit about the town, the lake, all the interesting stories. If you love taking good photos, we know the spots, if you are one for a picnic, we can arrange for one. We'll end with a nice long walk in the botanical gardens if you like, and have the time for that.
