Our 30-minute Lakefront Speedboat tour is the best way to view Chicago from the Lake, combining an exciting speedboat ride along the shoreline with informative and amusing descriptions of  the World famous Chicago Skyline!  As you depart Chicago's Navy Pier, we'll tell you interesting facts about the Pier and Chicago's lakefront. Then we'll crank up the music and race south past Navy Pier to Chicago's Museum Campus where we'll pause to hear about Chicago's interesting lakefront landmarks, architecture and history. We will then speed north past Navy Pier to cruise the Magnificent Mile, giving you unique views of the Willis Tower, Buckingham Fountain and Grant Park along the way. After a few quick facts, we'll dash back to our dog house on Navy Pier.

Take a thrilling speed boat tour of Chicago along the city's beautiful Lake Michigan, enjoying fantastic views of the city skyline and its many tourist landmarks along the way. This fast-paced speedboat ride is sure to get your heart racing, with a little history, humor and information thrown in food good measure.

Start your 30-minute ride at Navy Pier, heading out onto scenic Lake Michigan as you listen to a few anecdotes about the Pier and the impressive Lake Michigan. Then pump up the music and listen to the engines roar as your 2,000-horsepower vessel zips along the lake for an adrenaline-pumping tour of the city. Zoom down to Chicago's Museum Campus, where you'll stop for a few minutes to get a quick history lesson and learn about Windy City's many landmarks.

Then crank up the throttle again as you streak back past Navy PIer towards the Magnificent Mile, catching great views of Grant Park, Buckingham Fountain and the Willis Tower as you cruise. Return to the dock at Navy Pier after 30 minutes to finish your action-packed speedboat trip.

If you reserve your tickets in advance, you have the option to print your Seadog tickets at home or display them on your smartphone at boarding. You may also pick up or purchase tickets at the Seadog ticket booth on the day of your cruise.

Will I get wet?

This is unlikely on Seadog’s 30-Minute Lakefront Speedboat Tour, 75-Minute River and Lake Architectural Tour, and a 60-Minute Lakefront Fireworks Cruise.The 30-Minute Extreme Thrill Ride boasts the highest chance of getting wet so plan accordingly! Seadog is an open-air speedboat so there’s always a possibility depending on lake and wind conditions.

In accordance with US Coast Guard Regulation, all passengers and their belongings being brought on to our vessels are subject to search and screening. In order to expedite the boarding process we ask that you please do not bring any unnecessary bags on board.

Strollers remain stowed on dock while you enjoy your cruise. A Seadog staff member will diligently watch your items and return them upon docking back at Navy Pier.

Is Seadog okay for all ages to ride?

Seadog offers something for everyone! We do not, however, recommend cruising for those with cardiac conditions or orthopedic conditions associated with the neck or back. It’s also not recommended for women in late terms of pregnancy. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to cruise aboard any Seadog product. Don’t forget, you must be at least 48 inches to board Seadog’s Extreme Thrill Ride!
