Discovery Tour at Château d'Yquem

Your day begins with a comfortable ride from Bordeaux to Sauternes, where you'll visit Chateau d'Yquem, a legendary estate with a history dating back to the 18th century. As you stroll through the vineyards and cellars, you'll learn about the intricate process of producing these exceptional wines, from grape selection to barrel aging. You'll then indulge in a private tasting of some of the estate's most celebrated vintages, savoring the rich flavors and aromas that make them truly unique. 

Participate in a unique experience as you visit a 1er Grand Cru Classé of 1855 in the Sauternes wine producing region of Bordeaux. Château d'Yquem is without a doubt the flagship of the appellation and produces one of the most famous sweet white wines in the world. 

On this "Discovery Tour" of Château d'Yquem you will visit the grounds of the Chateau followed by the technical installations. Learn about the Botrytis cinerea fungus that affects the grape causing them to become partially raisined and how this helps to obtain a sweet white wine. Your tour will continue with a tasting of Yquem wine including Château d'Yquem 2017 vintage.

Château Guiraud & Caviar

Next, we'll take you to Chateau Guiraud, a family-owned winery that has been crafting organic and biodynamic wines since 1996. Here, you'll be treated to another private tasting. Following on from an immersive visit to the innovative universe of Chateau Guiraud, the local caviar of Aquitaine will accompany the wines of the property for a prestige tasting. Guests will appreciate the depth of our commitment with the exceptional marriage of these two stars of local produce: a Premier Grand Cru Classé in 1855 and the caviar. Guests will also discover each of these two products by varying tastes and textures. The association is both explosive and festive.
