Why take this tour?

Bosque de Chapultepec, which means Grasshoppers Hill, is one of the most visited public parks in the world. Twice as large as Central Park in New York, Chapultepec Park has a massive landscape. It is so big that it is divided into three parts. You could spend up to weeks in the park engaging in different activities like exploring the museums, lakes, the Mexico City Zoo, and much more. On this tour, you get to visit the park in a different way, by bike. This is the best way to see and explore the park and its many attractions.

Let your guide take you to Castillo de Chapultepec. This fortress is recognized as the only real castle in North America since it was the only officially recorded residence of royalty, Emperor Maximilian I, and Empress Carlota. The National History Museum adjoins the castle, and most of the castle’s interior can be considered the museum. Much of Mexico’s history can be learned from the fine exhibits and artworks from the Colonial Period. One could even call the entire castle a piece of art.

Pass by The Museum of Modern Art, a place of significance in Chapultepec Park. The museum features a host of modern and contemporary art by Mexican and international artists, including big names like Diego Rivera, Jose Clemente Orozco, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and Rufino Tamayo. The sculpture garden outside is home to the beautiful Alas de la Ciudad, or Wings of the City. This is a sculpture of a pair of giant bronze angel wings made by famed Mexican sculptor Jorge Marin.

Visit the Papantla Flyers, Chapultepec Lake, and Zoo on Your Bike Tour

Don´t miss the Papantla Flyers, an ancient tradition still on show in modern-day Mexico is the Voladores de Papantla. It is a spectacular ceremony that dates its origins from the Mexican state of Veracruz. It has been revived recently and is truly a marvelous and unforgettable sight to behold. Book our tour to learn more about this historical dance and what it entails.

Watch the Chapultepec Lake and Zoo. There are two lakes in Chapultepec, and they are attractions of the park admired by many tourists. And the zoo is one especially loved by the children, with a host of exotic animals on show.

Other places worth mentioning in Chapultepec park that we may pass by on our visit to Chapultepec are the Monument of Heroes, the Chapultepec Forest, and its expansive area. Enjoy panoramic views of the park from different exciting vantage points.

Explore the life of the Mexican Emperor Maximilian I of Habsburg on a tour of Chapultepec Castle, located on top of Mexico City's Chapultepec Hill, a site once sacred to the Aztecs.

Venture inside the stunning monument, and discover rooms of classical European ornamentations. Stroll the halls full of light and discover stairways made of marble. Admire the sculptures and busts of historical figures, such as Emperor Cuauhtémoc and the Spanish Conquistador Hernán Cortés, along the way.

Then depart Chapultepec Castle (also known as the "National Museum of History") and break for lunch, before going to the National Museum of Anthropology. Experience one of the most important anthropology museums in Latin America and explore rooms that detail the pre-Hispanic culture of the Maya, Toltec, and other ethnic peoples through the ages.
