Changing of the Guard Guided Walking Tour in London

Meet your guide at an agreed time and start with a short overview of the morning’s events. Then walk down Lower Regent Street towards Waterloo Place where you stop to hear some geography and history about the area.

Continue along the Mall, stopping at different landmarks, and then walk to St. James Palace, where the old Guard arrives for their inspection.

Next, you march in step with the Queen’s Guard, and then your guide leads you to Wellington Barracks, before finishing the tour with a view of Buckingham Palace.

Please note: you need to keep apace with the Guard and climb two flights of stairs; so you need relative fitness to take the tour. Due to the crowd size, it is not possible to view the ceremony at the Buckingham Palace courtyard.

We do not see the section of the ceremony which occurs on the courtyard of Buckingham Palace, but instead we observe the highlights of the ceremony in other locations.
