Since ancient times, all civilizations and communities have established a unique connection and way of communicating with their Gods and Mother Earth. In the Inca and Andes cultures the Offering to Mother Earth (Pachamama) has the purpose to connect with nature, show gratitude for everything we have and ask for guidance and support. Nowadays the Offering to Mother Earth is still part of our life, a way of reciprocity between the material world and the spiritual world. The purpose of the ceremony is to give back to Mother Earth what she has given us, to express our deepest desires, what you want to achieve in our life, and what you want for your loved ones.
During this ceremony offering we pray for the health of the person or persons who are participating. Sometimes we pray for work, prosperity, protection and guidance, depending on the request of the participant. In our Andean world, everything around us is alive and we believe that the offering helps us embrace harmony and balance. During the Sacred Ceremony, the Master prays with three Coca leaves (Kintu) that Mother Earth gave to us and to the Apus (Great Mountain Spirits).
