About Popova Shapka Ski Area:
Macedonia is well-kept secret among powder-hungry adventurers
Popova Shapka is located in 1650m altitude and is the base of our operation from where we go to up to 2500m for our rides.
The terrain offers a combination of wide oval faces to steep narrow couloirs and fine playful forest that will satisfy every need when it comes to freeriding.
Daily routine:
07:30 - Breakfast & daily briefing
08:30 - Meeting Point & departure
09:00 - Start first run
Between 11:30 - 12:30 - Lunch in the woods, variable after arrangement with the group
16:00 - End (varies & can be extended if necessary)
16:30 - Short debriefing (if necessary) & Outlook for next day
19:00 - Dinner
Included:
• Minimum of 3000m vertical elevation on the backcountry slopes of Popova Shapka area.
• Accommodation in 4* Hotel Scardus with included breakfast, lunch, dinner and use of the spa.
(If we are riding far from the Hotel then the lunch is packed in the cat together with snacks and refreshments, and we do the lunch in the backcountry area ).
• Free use of avalanche equipment ( backpack, shovel, probe and beeper )
• Two guides that will make your stay and riding both safe and interesting
• Transfer from Skopje Airport to Ski Resort and back for a group of minimum 4 people
Not included:
• Personal insurance in the mountain.
• Additional costs for beverages
• Flights and other transport alternatives to reach Macedonia.
Optional:
• Single person transport from and to the airport in Skopje - 70€ (35€ - per direction)
• Freeride Ski & Boots rental - starting from 20€ / day
• Variation by exchanging 1 day catskiing on 1 day ski touring in the area - less 70 €
