Why take this tour?

What could be better than a day spent tasting vintage wines and cruising in vintage cars? Our Winelands tour takes you through beautiful green vineyards to enjoy the finest wines and culinary delights the Cape has to offer and tops it all off with an optional stop off at the fantastic Franschoek Motor Museum, home to over 220 priceless classic cars. Our first stop is Babylonstoren. Wonder through the sprawling and fantastically manicured fruit, vegetable and herb garden before sitting down to enjoy tasting a variety of Babylon's great wines. Next, choose between artisanal confectionery wine pairing or visiting the Franschoek Motor Museum (see tour details). Then we'll cruise down the Helshoogte Pass, stopping at Tokara Wine Estate for a quick lunch where you can marvel at the incredible views and architecture. Babylonstoren

About operator:

Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, unique accommodation, fine food and wine, and a sense of wellbeing. With the Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof and Franschhoek mountains as backdrop, Babylonstoren's garden is majestic. Dating back to 1692, the fortunes of this historic fruit and wine farm took a turn ten years ago when it fell under the gaze of former magazine editor Karen Roos. Her passion for historic Cape Dutch style led to an authentic yet contemporary restoration that projects the farm into the future.
