Receive a morning pickup from your Cape Town accommodations aboard a private vehicle equipped with on-board Wi-Fi and bottled water. You’ll then head out on the R27 highway, passing through Bloubergstrand and Big Bay as you enjoy views of Table Mountain and Robben Island en route.
Proceed toward Darling for olive and wine tasting, then head onwards to a local !Khwa ttu village, where you can learn about the San people who have long populated the area. You’ll head from there to Yzerfontein, a fishing village that offers the perfect viewing point for seasonal whale watching, before continuing to West Coast National Park. This idyllic park is known for its copious communities of birds and springtime blooms of yellow daisies.
Depart the national park and continue to Langebaan, a historic town along the coast that’s a popular holiday destination for South African locals. Then pause for lunch (own expense) before heading to the West Coast Fossil Park, past Langebaanweg Airforce Base, and through the honey-producing town of Hopefield. You’ll also pass through Moorreesburg and Malmesbury, where you can learn about the area’s bountiful agricultural products like wheat, canola, wine, and ostriches. You’ll then return to Cape Town where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodations.
