Cancun ATV Jungle Adventure with Ziplines, Cenote, and Tequila Tasting

I wanted to share my honest experience at Extreme Adventure in Cancun because there were definitely some things that I feel need to be addressed, especially when it comes to safety. We purchased the package that included the ATV ride, zip lines, snorkeling/swimming, and tequila tasting. When we first arrived at the park, everything felt very rushed. We were immediately told to change into our swimsuits so we could do the swimming/snorkeling activity first. After that, we went to the zip lines, but there were very little instructions given before we started. I honestly felt like we were just being sent through the activities without enough explanation or preparation. Then came the ATVs, which was probably the part that concerned me the most. The ATVs looked extremely old and worn down. During our ride, several people's ATVs stopped in the middle of the road. One man's ATV appeared to need to be hot-wired just to get it started, and one young lady actually lost her entire seat while she was riding. That was honestly scary to see. We were given almost no instructions about operating the ATVs other than three hand signals for stopping and slowing down. Considering the condition of some of the ATVs and the fact that you're riding through the course, I really felt like there should have been much more safety instruction and supervision. Another thing I wasn't a fan of was having to put our cell phones in a locker. There was a cameraman following us during the activities taking pictures, and at the end we were offered the pictures for what I was told could be upwards of $60. I understand that pictures are an additional purchase, but I would have preferred having the option to take some of my own pictures rather than being completely without my phone. After the excursions were finished, there was about an hour of waiting before we could leave. During that time, we were given food depending on the package we purchased, and we received two free tacos. Personally, the fish taco was not edible to me. There was also a small fire show, which was entertaining, but once again there were people going around asking for tips. What really bothered me was that before we could even get our belongings out of the lockers and receive our locker deposits back, we were already being approached for tips and donations. I understand that tipping can be part of the culture and that the staff work hard, but I feel like guests should at least be given the opportunity to collect their belongings and get settled before being asked for additional money. We were also approached and asked to leave a review right there on the spot, with people even calling names out loud. I personally don't feel comfortable being pressured to write a review immediately after an excursion, especially when you're still in the middle of the experience and haven't really had time to process it. Even the transportation from the main area to the activity was uncomfortable. We rode in what looked like a yellow school bus, and the ride was extremely rough. Overall, I couldn't help but feel like the guides were exhausted and possibly overworked. There were definitely parts of the day that were fun, and I appreciate the staff who were working hard, but overall I left feeling like there need to be much better safety precautions and better organization. The condition of the ATVs, the lack of instruction, the equipment issues we witnessed, and the overall rushed feeling made me uncomfortable. I'm not writing this to be negative just for the sake of being negative. I think these are things the company should genuinely look at because people are putting their safety in your hands when they book these excursions. I hope they take the feedback seriously and make improvements.

The whole experience was amazing. The pick up at hotel was easy to find. Our guide H was funny and an amazing host. The Zip line was easy. The best part was the ATV good distance and easy to ride.

Fun, fun, fun!! The upgrade they offer once you arrive is a great option. I felt we got our monies worth. If you have the chance ask for Ignacio as a tour guide, he was fun and the best!
