Well worth a visit!!
We had a wonderful visit to Caherconnell! Our tour guide for the forts was fantastic - very informative while making the tour fun and entertaining. The sheepdog demonstration was also a highlight and so enjoyable to watch. Our only suggestion would be to include a Canadian flag among the six flags displayed at the entrance. Overall, a great experience and well worth the visit
Epitome of an a truly Irish welcome and experience
If you want an authentic Irish experience and a genuine, warm Irish welcome, Caherconnell Fort is the place to go. I cannot recommend this experience enough, not just because of the unique and fascinating demonstration (the dogs!!!! 💚) but because of how heartfelt, helpful and warm the interaction was between every single member of the team we encountered. As an Irish person, I felt Sean and the whole team, from the gentleman giving the demonstration, to the ladies in the gift shop and all the cafe staff, naturally epitomised a genuine Irish welcome; to the point it made me proud to be Irish! All of the ladies in the gift shop couldn’t have done enough to help and oh my goodness, was the food from the cafe beautiful!!! Sean is a true gentleman and I will definitely be bringing people back here as it was a must do, 10/10 experience!
James needs a pay rise
Lovely; sheepdog demo was great. The highlight was James, our guide for the fort, he made the day for sure.
What a great surprise!!
What an absolutely fun and unique experience! We were delighted with the sheepdog demonstrations, which did not disappoint one bit! Those pups were amazing, and their trainer was so informative. Our tour guide, Sean was really spot on - he shared so much history with us, he had a great sense of humor, and he was able to recommend some area pubs for lunch. The grounds were impeccably clean and cared for, and the gift shop provided us lots of great choices for family back home. While this experience was an add-on...what shall we do today thought...it was one of our favorite outings of our trip.
Awesome stop
The demo was awesome and really neat to learn about the dogs. Loved petting the dogs after the demo.
