Butterfly Garden Tour in Monteverde

Depending on the start time selected at checkout, greet your guide outside of the Butterfly Garden at Selvatura Park at one of six times between 9:15am and 3:15pm.

Following an introduction to Costa Rica’s diverse insect life from your guide, you’ll tour the gardens and marvel at more than 20 species of butterfly as they flutter around.

Discover the special behaviors and abilities of butterflies, and learn about their life cycle in the rearing chamber, where caterpillars slowly transform into butterflies within cocoons.

Your tour concludes in the park’s gift shop.

Enjoy a guided walk inside one of the world’s largest live butterfly exhibitions with an area of over 29,000 square feet (2,700 square meters). Come and enjoy all the wonders that you may discover in the marvelous Monteverde Butterfly Gardens.
