Start your day from your Brisbane City hotel around 8am. First, meet the locals over Devonshire Tea in a heritage-listed building in the country town of Boonah. Relax and enjoy the scenery while you make your way to the Falls Scenic drive to view two plunge waterfalls. Queen Mary Falls is a choice of two walking tracks to view the 40 meter falls. The first walk is an easy 400 meter return.
For the more adventurous track, there is the option of a 2 kilometer loop to view the falls and feel the spray from the waterfall as you pass at creek level. Next, visit the Carr’s Lookout and experience the excellent view of Condamine Gorge and the mountains of the Scenic Rim. Stop at Mountain Creek Café or Gourmet Picnic Hmapter for lunch. If time permits, get a chance to visit the Moss Gardens. On your return route, be taken via the ‘Head Road’ where you will experience picturesque mountain scenery. Make a stop at Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm to do some wine tasting. On your way to your last stop, spot some Kangaroos. Your last stop is Mt. Coot-tha Lookout. This is Brisbane’s highest point with views over Brisbane to Moreton Bay. You will be dropped off at your hotel around 5:30pm.
