Europe's most powerful hot spring provides 180l/sec of 100C hot water. Hraunfossar - Lava waterfalls. Beautiful, clear cold springs of subterranean water seep through the lava and runs as waterfalls and rapids into the river Hvítá. Reykholt is one of Iceland's historical sites. The author Snorri Sturluson lived here around 1206-1241. Langjökull - The long-glacier is the second largest glacier in Iceland about 950km2 or around 367.000 square miles. The Whale fjord tunnel 5770m. (18,930ft.) long and reaches a depth of 165m (541 ft.) below sea level opened in 1998
