This was a wonderful experience and the highlight of my trip to Charleston. Boone Hall has a rich history, all brought to life by the excellent tour guides. Special mention must be made of tour guide Ed, who took tourists around the main building. His natural warmth and tremendous sense of humour will live long in the memory. I can’t recommend this excursion highly enough!

This was a wonderful experience and the highlight of my trip to Charleston. Fascinating history associated with the plantation, all brought to life by the excellent tour guides on site. A special mention must go to the guide Ed who showed tourists around the main hall. The combination of his natural warmth and tremendous sense of humour will live long in the memory! An absolute must see attraction in Charleston.
Best plantation tour
We visited Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens today, and it was a wonderful and enlightening experience. Our first stop was the presentation on the history of the enslaved people, including the Gullah people and their culture. It was especially meaningful and gave us a deeper understanding of the history of the plantation and the people who lived and worked there. The house tour was very informative, and we also enjoyed the wagon ride around the beautiful grounds. We found it especially interesting to learn that Boone Hall is still a working plantation today. There was so much history, culture, and beauty to experience. We would definitely recommend a visit to Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens!
