Bomarzo has a unique work in the world, the Villa of Wonders, also called Sacro Bosco, called the Monster Park with refined gardens, fountains with water games and sculptures. The prince of Bomarzo dedicated himself to the creation of an eccentric "grove" by sculpting enigmatic figures of monsters, dragons, mythological subjects and exotic animals in the boulders of peperino, emerging from the ground, which he alternated with a leaning house, a funeral temple, fountains , seats and obelisks on which he made mottoes and inscriptions engraved. The Sacro Bosco, not respecting the sixteenth century customs, presents itself as an irregular solution.
