Birding and Nature Chaco Tour

In only a few minutes from Asunción, you will be surrounded of nature, with palm savannas, grasslands, marshlands and shruby ecosystems of the Humid Chaco. Some of the interesting birds that are usual seen during the tour are: three species of Kingfisher, Ringed, Amazon and Green Kingfishers; Barred, Variable and Great Antshrikes; Red-crested and Yellow-billed Cardinals; and Solitary Black Cacique.

Among the most amazing birds of this tour are Toco Toucan, Crimson-crested Woodpecker, Scaly-headed Parrot, Maroon-bellied Parakeet, Great Rufous Woodcreeper and Red-billed Scythebill, Saffron-billed Sparrow and Ultramarine Grosbeak.

A good number of waterbirds increase the list during our tour, including Whistling and Rufescent Tiger-Heron, Jabiru, and Southern Screamer.

Chaco`i is a perfect tour when you are in Asunción, and would like to enjoy nature and birding in a brief morning. An early drive of about 30 to 40 minutes from your hotel, and you will be in humid chaco ecosystems and expecting to find 

70 to over 100 bird species in a few hours of birdwatching.
