Bird watching at Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary

The tour will begin from Ponda where we will meet at 6.30 am and then travel for about 30 min to our first birding location on the outskirts of Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary. You will spend more than an hour here followed by which you will be heading to small place outside Bondla for a typical Goan breakfast of "Bhaaji-Paav" and tea. Post breakfast you will enter into Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary and will watch birds along the road intermittently walking and driving. Total walking distance will be approximately 2 km.

You can get to spot birds like White-cheeked Barbet, Vigors's Sunbird, Blyth's Starling, Grey-fronted Green Pigeon, Black-hooded Priole, Vernal Hanging Parrot, Crimson-backed Sunbird, Loten's Sunbird, Crested Treeswift, Crested Goshawk, White-rumped Shama, Malabar Trogon, Asian Fairy Bluebird, Flame-throated Bulbul, White-browed Bulbul and many more. One can easily spot over 60 species of birds during half a day's session. Birding will go on for about 4 to 5 hours beginning at 7.00 am. Maximum number of tour participants will be 4 since a small group is ideal for watching birds.

A small zoo which is also part of the sanctuary can also be visited post birding. No extra amount will be charged for this. The price includes breakfast, Filtered water, entry tickets to the park and guiding fees. Travel from and to your hotel or place of stay is not included in the price, however we can assist you in booking a ride for your trip.

Experience bird watching in one of the best locations in Goa with an experienced naturalist. The activity will involve intermittent walking and driving along the single road that goes through Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary - one of the smallest wildlife sanctuary in Goa. One can get to see endemic birds like Flame-throated Bulbul, Malabar Trogon, Crimson-backed Sunbird, Vigors's Sunbird, White-cheeked Barbet, Blyth's Starling, Dark-fronted Babbler and many others. A typical Goan breakfast of "Bhaaji-Paav" and tea are also included in the price. This is a small group tour with a maximum of 4 people per tour. The entire duration of the tour will be 4-5 hours. Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary also has a zoo which can also be visited if required with no additional cost.
