Spending a day pedaling a portion of the 109-mile Mickelson rail trail is a fantastic way to see the Black Hills!
Depending on the length of desired tour, we can do from a short ride all the way up to the entire 109 mile length! For most people however, the portion of the trail from Rochford to Hill City is a nice day’s ride! This 22.5 mile portion of the trail features numerous tunnels and railroad bridges and breathtaking scenery! It does have a steady several mile climb at a very low grade, so if that’s not in your vacation criteria, there’s the option to do a 18 mile downhill section instead!
This is typically run as a private tour with just your group or family.
