Why local tour guides are worth the extra cost
Ania was our guide who grew up in Germany. Having local knowledge of the history of pre and post war Berlin provided insights that AI apps cannot duplicate.
Brendan P's excellent tour far exceeded my expectations.
An incredible experience. Our guide, Brendan P. was part historian, philosopher, anthropologist, socialogist, humorist and a all around nice guy. He offered insights and observations beyond what you would expect from a guide. His pace was comfortable for all of us, including me. I walk with an AFO and a cane and had no problem keeping up. I am 76 and lived through most of what occurred in Berlin and Germany overall and thought I had a pretty good grasp of events. Was I wrong. The three and a half hours we spent with Brendan P was a master class of the past 80 years in Berlin and made the parallels of late 1930's Germany and Europe to what's occuring in the world today painfully obvious. If the world could see what Brendan P showed us and hear what he recounted to us, it might become a better kinder and hopefully safer place.

We went on the 3 1/2 hour walking tour with Brendan P. It’s a great tour of all the highlights! Brendan P. gave us lots of interesting history. He was very knowledgeable and fun. If you want to see something in particular. He will make it happen. We also stopped for a quick coffee and potty break.
