Belfast Sightseeing Cruise: Titanic Quarter and River Lagan

In the afternoon, head to Donegall Quay and board your sightseeing barge for the 1-hour trip down Belfast’s historic arterial waterway, the River Lagan.  Along the cruise, catch impressive views of Belfast’s key nautical landmarks and enjoy fascinating facts and histories – such as the Titanic story – shared by your lively guide. Then pass the Northern Ireland Science Park, the magnificent Titanic Quarter, a tributary museum built on the site of the ship launch, and Titanic Film Studios, where scenes from the popular Game of Thrones TV series have been filmed.  Cruise by the Titanic slipways en route to Alexandra Docks for a dose of Belfast’s naval history. View the HMS Caroline, a beautifully restored navy battleship that is celebrated as the last surviving ship from the Battle of Jutland in 1917, before you head to Stormont Wharf in Belfast Harbour.  Marvel at the enormous ships – from massive new cruise liners to industrial cargo ships – that dock in this deep water berth. Along the way to Stormont, your boat passes through the Musgrave Channel, where summer visitors may see Northern Ireland’s largest seal breeding colony. Your tour loops back to the launch point on Donegal Quay, where you will disembark.
