Meet your guide and tour group at a central meeting point, where you'll get an introduction to your electric bike and a safety briefing. Once you feel comfortable with the bike's operations, hop on and head for the bustling Ribeira Market. Explore the stalls featuring local flowers, vegetables, fruit and fish, then check out the more than 30 restaurants helmed by well-known chefs.
Cycle over to the former red light district, Rua Nova de Carvalho, a hot spot for nightlife. Pass Cais do Sodré, a center of maritime activities dating from the 15th century, now home to the ferry terminal for the boats bound for Cacilhas. Ride down along the River Tagus to Torre Belém and the 25th of April Bridge, celebrating the end of decades-long dictatorship in Portugal.
Pass the Electricity Museum, one of the notable examples of Industrial architecture in the city, then head for the Monument of the Discoveries. Stop for a coffee break before biking over to the 16th-century Monastery of Saint Jerome, where you can sample one of the famous Belém custard tarts in the monastery's gardens.
End your 3-hour tour back at your departure point.
