Beijing Evening Private Tour: Wangfujin Food Stands, Hutongs and Houhai Lakes

Your tour starts by meeting your guide at the Beijing Hotel on Chang’an Avenue and heading to the night market at Wangfujing. Stroll along the food stands to see the variety of things being sold by vendors, and perhaps try items such as fried banana or even a deep-fried scorpion (food purchases are at your own expense). Then continue to Nanluoguxiang, a quaint area home to cafes, bars, and shops that sell traditional crafts. The sun will be starting to set at this point, so watch as neon lights and the traditional red lanterns create a cozy yet lively atmosphere. From here, keep walking to the connected area of the Back Lakes (Hou Hai), where rickshaws pass by and small shops line alleys. Visit a few street food vendors to buy snacks, if you wish, and then stroll through a bustling area of bars and live music venues, where your tour ends.
