Begin the day with a hotel pickup and then head to Tantalus Lookout, where you go over your camera’s features and get your bearings with panoramic views of Diamond Head and Waikiki.
Next, stop at the Nu‘uanu Pali Lookout for some Hawaiian history and views of Oahu’s Windward Coast. Then it’s on to the Windward side of the island to see the Ko’olau Mountains up close, and get your toes in the sand at Waimanalo Bay Beach Park.
Stop to admire the natural beauty here and then it’s time for lunch (own expense) at Ono Steaks and Shrimp Shack, where you can taste authentic Hawaiian dishes, such as fresh fish and kalua pork.
Continue on to Makapu’u Beach Lookout and Sandy Beach to see giant waves, and finally stop at Hanauma Bay, a protected marine life conservation area known for its colorful coral reefs, before returning to your hotel.
