Barbados Shore Excursion Hunte's Gardens St Nicholas Plantation and Rum Tour

Summary

Once your cruise ship docks in Barbados' Bridgetown port, make your way to the port gates (likely by shuttle bus) and meet your tour guide. They will be holding a sign marked 'Glory Tours'.  The tour's first stop is Hunte's Gardens, a tropical garden built in a sinkhole. Walk the cobblestone paths and take in the lush tropical flora, perfect for photo ops and a truly relaxing time.  Move on to Bathsheba, known for being a perfect surf spot and its unusual rock formations. Then visit Morgan Lewis Windmill and Cherry Tree Hill before finishing up at St. Nicholas Abbey, built in 1658 and functioning now as a rum distillery. Tour the plantation and taste some of the award-winning rum before heading back to the port for drop-off.

Why take this tour?

Visit Anthony Hunte's masterpiece garden; this garden is in a sink hole that has been transformed into one of the most beautiful spots on the island. A visit to Barbados will not be complete without a stop in Bathsheba, famous for its breathtaking beauty and pounding surf. Following Bathsheba, the tour will make its way to Morgan Lewis Windmill. The windmill is on the top 100 endangered historical sites in the world. Then we will continue up the hill to Cherry Tree Hill where we will take a short photo op stop before moving on to St. Nicholas Abbey. This Plantation House is likely the last remaining authentic house of the 17th Century that exists anywhere in the "New World". The Plantation produces award winning rum and they are always delighted to offer you a sample.
