After pickup from your hotel, board the air-conditioned coach and begin your island tour with a drive along the western coast of Barbados – famous for its lavish homes and resorts set on the edge of the Caribbean Sea.
Next, the tour makes its way to the north coast, where you take in views of the dramatic cliffs and crashing waves. Continue down the eastern side of Barbados to Bathseba, a small fishing village, popular for surfing and its laid-back charm. Sip on a glass of rum punch and enjoy the picturesque scenery and warm ocean breeze.
Your guide then brings you to St John’s Church, a gothic-style church constructed in the 1830s. Here you also have an opportunity to shop from local craft vendors.
Next is the historical highlight of the tour, a visit to Sunbury Plantation House. One of the first plantations in Barbados, the site was constructed by British colonizers in the 1660s. Sit down to a buffet lunch of local cuisine before taking a guided tour of this well-preserved piece of history.
Round Barbados’ southern coast and pass through the fishing town of Oistins before getting dropped off at your hotel.
