Balkan cross-country mountain biking tour

We begin the day with an epic train ride in the beautiful valley of the Iskar river, just minutes away from Sofia. We get off the train in a small picturesque village in the Balkan mountain and we start riding up on our mountain bikes.

By lunchtime we arrive at a chalet, famous for it’s organic raspberry wine and delicious food, produced right there in the mountain.

After lunch, we hit the trails on a cross-country ride back to our starting point, where we take the train back to Sofia.

This daytrip is great for the ones looking at exploring a little bit more of Bulgaria and visiting the countryside, without getting too far from Sofia.

Difficulty: intermediate cross country cycling (if you feel confident on a bicycle, and use a bicycle regularly, or you have some mountain biking experience – you are all right.
