This unique hands-on experience is the best way to learn about the importance of honeybees! We will suit up and open up the hive to see how bees live, work, and produce honey. You will definitely leave with greater knowledge and understanding of our pollinator friends and the inner workings of a honeybee colony.
Backyard Beekeeping: A Day in the Apiary

- We will honey taste test the unique flavor profiles from local Delmarva beekeepers and EAS bee clubs. We will discuss the color, aroma, flavor, and texture. Everyone will have a different favorite!

- BayBees Honey, LLC will provide bee suits, gloves, hive tools, and smokers. Beekeeping 101 to safely handle the bees, hive, bee yard etiquette, review beekeeping equipment and gear.
