Aveiro, Costa Nova beach and Moliceiro Boat

Aveiro is less than an hour from Coimbra. Discover "Portuguese Venice" on this tour that includes a typical boat trip, the so-called "moliceiros". After pick up at the hotel in Coimbra, we will head to Aveiro. We will start on board one of the traditional moliceiro boats, which used to be used for the transport of seaweed and salt. After boarding, we will make a 45 minute journey through the canals that divide the city known as the "Portuguese Venice". When we finish the boat tour, we continue on foot visiting one of the main tourist interest centers in the city. We finish with the tasting of the typical regional sweet, the "ovos moles". Then, we head to Barra beach where you can stroll along the white sand or take pictures with the Aveiro lighthouse. After we will go to Costa Nova. The houses painted with different colored stripes that border this bay. These colorful houses once belonged to local fishermen. After visit, we will return to Coimbra.
