Stop by the Greetings from Austin Mural, originally painted in 1997 and restored in 2013. When Todd Sanders purchased the building, artists Rory Skagen and Bill Brakhage had just moved in across the street. Their building already had a Cesar Chavez mural on it, so they asked Sanders if he would consider letting them paint a mural on his. The mural was meant to celebrate Austin and promote the pair’s murals, and has now become an iconic landmark destination in the city. Be sure to take lots of pictures!

Enjoy a delicious pick-me-up at Mozart’s Coffee Roasters. The coffee shop was the first in-house coffee roaster in Austin, TX over 25 years ago. Today it has a special light show around the holiday season and live music on the weekends for added entertainment.

Get ready to climb to one of the highest peaks in Austin - Mount Bonnell. This massive landmark is one of the most visited sites in Austin. The limestone height stands at 775 ft above sea level and is considered to be the highest point within Austin City Limits. In fact, it’s a favorite for mountain bikers, and a Mount Bonnell hike is on the bucket list of many tourists. This area is considered one of the most scenic urban drives in Texas due to the arched steel bridge and rolling hills that flank the road. The bridge has a weathered rust finish that allows it to blend with the surrounding hills and lake. You won’t want to miss this stunning overlook.
