Explore the lush countryside of Saint Kitts during this fun-filled ATV ride, combined with visits to a historic sugar plantation and a batik fabric factory. It's the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and culture during your island visit. Whether you're an ATV pro, or have never driven one of these off-road vehicles, your guide will cater the trip to your experience and ability.
Begin the trip with pickup from your St. Kitts hotel, continuing to the ATV shop where you'll meet your guide, hear a quick safety overview and get your riding gear. Once you're geared up and ready to go, turn your ATV throttle and zoom off into the countryside.
Get dirty and have some fun on the excursion's winding paths, zooming past lush sugar cane fields and the rolling hills along the way. Soon you'll arrive at the historic Wingfield Estate, a 17th-century sugar and rum plantation once owned by ancestors of US president Thomas Jefferson and considered to be the first English settlement in the Caribbean. You'll also hear insights from your guide into the island's history with the sugar trade.
Climb back on board your ATV for the ride to Caribelle Batik, located adjacent to Wingfield, where you'll watch local St. Kitts residents crafting the factory's colorful batik-style fabrics into intricate designs. Feel free to purchase souvenirs at your own expense. Finish your ride by leaving Caribelle Batik, returning to the ATV shop and back to your hotel.
