Astroville Best of Houston City Driving Tour with Live Guide

Our driver, Anthony, was an absolute hoot and we had a great time with him. The NASA guide was less impressive, quite chaotic and disorganised. The site is worth a visit for the Saturn 5 rocket, and the Space Shuttle walk-through. The Tom Hanks-narrated movie was very worthwhile. But the museum there is very dated, despite having some great exhibits. It’s like a low-tech 1980’s regional museum, not at all what I expected from NASA. Despite the weather staying fine, threats of wind and rain caused them to cancel the trams, meaning that they shut all the outdoor facilities. This was hugely disruptive, meaning that out Mission Control your was canned and we only got a 50% refund. Good to see - once.

Clear instructions on meeting place. Remote support is responsive if you have any questions. Mike drove us around. Had to detour on way home but handled it like a pro. Meredith took our group on a space journey. Her dad worked on the LEM, a special connection. Passionate guide. Lots to cover and pace picked up as weather was turning bad. Got the essentials covered and seen before moving on to the mission control tour. That was pretty special to see. Had to leave sooner than planned so we didn't get rained in. Grateful we made it as that tour was cancelled the day before due to weather. Did have a little misunderstanding about joining the tram tour to MC but Viator support and SCH guest services sorted it. We were driven in a van to join the group and arrived just as the presentation started. All was good in the end.. Highly recommend this tour, there are a few variables that can influence your day but just go with the flow, relax and take it ALL in. An incredible visit was had and we left tired but so thrilled to have seen such incredible bravery and sacrifice that paved the way to humanities return to the moon and beyond. We have other Viator tours booked on this trip including Cape Canaveral. Can't wait. Oh, IMPORTANT, PHOTOS. DO NOT TAKE A SELFIE STICK, TRIPOD, CAMERA GEAR OR GO PRO, DJI, GIMBAL GEAR. USE ONLY YOUR MOBILE PHONE AND TAKE A POWER BANK. For families with children, please be considerate of other tour group members. The departure does not get held up for you. You do not disrupt an active presentation by NOT listening to instructions and have an entitled attitude "I have children" . DO NOT walk ahead of the guide, it's why it's called a guided tour!! If this is YOU, a group tour is NOT for you! Today was disrupted by a selfish family of 5 on several occasions. Despite this the guides remained professional and accommodating under trying circumstances. Well done overall to Viator and SCH. Thank you for a wonderful day!!!

Transportation to the space center was on time there and back and was organized. So much history and so much to see at the Space Center. Meredith, our guide was very informative and helpful.

Visited Space Centre Houston today. Space Centre Houston is NASA's development and training center. This is in contrast to Kennedy Space Centre in Florida where the rockets and space shuttles are launched. You can look inside a space shuttle and also see how the astronauts live in space. A beautiful and educational center.

Mike our driver was fabulous. So happy and considerate. Meredith our guide at the space center was nice and positive but…. She lost track of people several times, me three times, and talked very fast and frenetically and after some time I had to break off from the group because she wouldn’t stop talking and it was one o’clock and she hadn’t given us a chance to grab some lunch. I’m grateful for the tour and direction but not pleased with her as a guide
