Meeting point is in front of the 'Tourist Information Center' in Tokyo Asakusa. After a short introduction, you will climb up to the viewing deck of the TIC to enjoy a great view of the Asakusa area. The tour will then continue to the Kaminarimon gate and take a few good pictures. Continuing to the Nakamise street, which is the oldest shopping street in Tokyo Japan.
Here, over 90 shops and food stands are lined up from the Kaminarimon Gate to the main hall of the Sensoji Temple. If you are on the search for local souvenirs or typical snacks from Asakusa, this is the place!
Inside the temple, your guide will explain and teach you how to practice and pray in the temple and shrine. Besides the Sensoji Temple, other architectural highlights include the 5-story pagoda and the Hozomon Gate.
After leaving the crowded area, your guide will take you to a calmer part of town, just by the Sumida River from where you can see the famous Tokyo Skytree and the striking Asahi Beer Headquarters.
The tour will finish at the starting place.
Pictures from the tour will be edited and sent to you via email shortly after the tour.
