Armação Crossing x Peri Lagoon x Waterfall x Sertão x Ribeirão da Ilha 9 am - quick presentation of Armação - old fishing village - historic and beautiful 9.30 am - we start the walk along the seafront - between the beautiful beach / sea and the restinga (vegetation) 10 am - We arrived at Lagoa do Peri and followed the trail in the Atlantic forest with the lagoon always near. 12.30 h - arrival at the waterfall. Bath and snack. - We have about 1 hr stop. 13.30 h - we climbed the trail to Sertão - about 30 minutes. 14 pm - We left the forest and arrived in a rural area - with the face of old! - with sites, horses, cows, chickens and fruit trees. 2.30 pm - we will visit an incredible local still - cachaça and molasses production. Possible for purchases. 3:15 pm - We climb a dirt road until we reach an incredible lookout. Then we go down to the asphalt. 16.15 pm - We took a bus or Uber and followed another 3 km to the center of Ribeirão da Ilha for a historic visit. We finish at 5 pm in Ribeirão da Ilha.

Why take this tour?

We'll cross across SC Island - from east to west! An incredibly diverse trail - beach / sea, lagoon, waterfall, forest, countryside, old Azorean village (Ribeirão da Ilha). The part of the forest is one of the richest in fauna and flora in Santa Catarina Island, and it is very likely to see animals - mammals, birds, rodents, ... The flora is of a unique exuberance. We also have the countryside with its picturesque and unusual looks. And then we'll have a visit to an amazing still. Two incredible lookouts await us on this trail - one facing east (lagoon, forest and ocean) and the other facing west (forest, bay and mainland). Great for photos. Take your gear. In the end we will visit Ribeirão da Ilha - one of the oldest Azorean villages of the island - well preserved and incredibly beautiful! I am sure you will have an unforgettable day!
