Your 4-hour tour begins with hotel pickup at 8:30am in Funchal and 8am in Caniço. From here, you’ll hop aboard a sturdy jeep and begin your ascent to Pico dos Barcelos Viewpoint, from which stunning views of Funchal and Madeira’s rugged coast.
Then, continue to the secluded Valley of the Nuns (Curral das Freiras), replete with cherry orchards and terraced vineyards surrounded by steep mountains. Learn about the town’s history before hopping back into the vehicle and ascending to Pico do Arieiro, the island’s third-highest peak and best place for birds-eye views.
Soak up panoramic vistas of Ponta de São Lourenço and the Paul da Serra plateau before arriving at your final stop, the Laurisilva Rainforests of Madeira, marbled with waterfalls and home to vast flora and fauna.
Your tour concludes with hotel drop-off at approximately 1pm.
