Your tour begins with pickup from downtown La Fortuna. By early morning, start hiking down a 2-mile (3 kilometer) trail that crosses nine fixed bridges and six suspension bridges, offering incredible views of the rain forest. Though it feels adventurous, the bridges are designed for comfortable crossings.

Then, continue to the La Fortuna Waterfall. Walk roughly 15 minutes from the trailhead to reach the falls; swim and snap photos upon arrival. Lunch at Lava Rocks Cafe follows (included).

At 3pm, begin hiking on Arenal Volcano. The exact trail is chosen upon arrival for the greatest chance of seeing lava, as the flows vary day to day. Your guide helps you spot plants and animals as you climb the volcano, and you watch the sunset from a vista point at the end of the hike. Linger until dark to see glowing chunks of lava.

Conclude your tour with a dip in either the Tabacon or Baldi Hot Springs followed by a buffet dinner (included). Return to your original departure point at the end of the tour.
