Meet your guide and walking group under the arches near the Clock Tower in St Mark's Square. Take in the peaceful ambiance as Venice wakes up for the day. 

Explore St Mark's Square, including the Doge's Palace, St Mark's Basilica and the Procuratie. Learn about the history of these important landmarks and the role they have played in Venetian history.

Continue to Santa Maria Formosa, where you will admire the SS. Giovanni e Paolo church with the famous Pantheon. Follow the Scuola Grande di San Marco also knowns as “Great School of Charity” (the Captains of Fortune).

Circle back to St Mark's Square to see the Maibran Theater and pass through the Mercerie, once the center of Venice's commercial life.

This year - 2021 - marks the 1600th anniversary of the foundation of Venice. In order to celebrate this important milestone, we have decided to kick start our walking tour telling you more about Venice's birthday.

Start your day off right with a 2-hour stroll through Italy's "Floating City." Set out with your guide to wander Venice's cobbled alleys, cross over its canals and admire its iconic sights, including St Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace — seeing the city spring to life as you go. Learn about the city's unique history while taking in its unforgettable beauty, and discover a few hidden treasures along the way. Audio headsets are provided to better hear your guide.
