Angkor Sunrise Half-Day Tour

The shared tour was super nice, it was not rushed and our tour guide John was very patient, friendly and professional. I loved it!

I recently did a half day tour to Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Prohm with our guide Sarun, and it was truly a highlight of my trip to Cambodia. I was traveling solo and joined a small group tour with 6 other travelers. Everyone was friendly and pleasant. We were picked up from our hotels at around 4:30 AM in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus. Throughout the tour, Sarun made sure we had water and cool wet towels, which was such a thoughtful touch given the early start and heat. What made this tour exceptional was Sarun’s deep knowledge of the temples. Having grown up around these sites, he knows them like his own home. He shared the history of these sites and Cambodia, the technology used to build these structures, and details on the ongoing restoration projects. What really stood out were the stories he told about the gods and legends tied to each temple. Thanks to his storytelling, we could picture what these places looked like and how they were used centuries ago, rather than just seeing ancient ruins. We had a relaxing one-hour breakfast break at a nice restaurant partway through the tour. Once the tour was over, we were dropped off at our hotels at around 2.00 PM. If you’re visiting Siem Reap solo or otherwise and want a guide who brings the temples to life with real passion and knowledge, ask for Sarun.

I'm have dissability and walking with crutches, a bit worried to join group tour. But Sarun was awesome, he made sure I walked safe and guided me. He was very knowledgeable and explain the map by drawing on the sand, so It was easier to understand the connection between the temples. The price was very afforable for the incredible service. It covered all the major temples with great explanation and safe route. Hint: we found dinosaurs 👀 I only have two days, so I opt for half day tour. I will recommend you to pick this one and enjoy your day. The breakfast cafe also very nice, I can rest from the heat and charge my phone. Also, Sarun took GREAT PANORAMIC PHOTOS which will be great for your social media 😆

I have to say that this has been the most educational and joyful tour I've had in these past two weeks in Cambodia. Our tour guideSarun was not only accommodating in every aspect but was extremely knowledgeable when explaining everything in the different temples.. it got to a point where people from other groups were leaving their group and standing behind us to listen to Sarun's explanations. I went to 5 museums before coming here to understand more about the Cambodian culture; and all of this was explained in great detail to me by our lovely tour guide. Honestly, the best tour guide I've been on in the last 25 years..
