Tour info
Why take this tour?
This is not your average City Tour, because Anchorage is not an average city! Take an eco tour within Anchorage's city limits! This half day naturalist led tour explores Anchorage’s ecological treasures that include a guided walk through Alaska’s boreal forest trails, a look into the fish that shape the fortunes and ecosystem of Alaska at the Jack Hernandez Fish Hatchery, and finishing off with a chance to observe birds and plant species in an estuary bordering the Cook Inlet at the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge. Learn about the varied ecosystems, plant, and animal species that make living in the boreal forest such an adventure. Walk in the woods through Alaska’s largest city, and let the fresh air spark your curiosity! During the tour, we'll activate all of our senses while sipping the sustainably-harvested wild Alaska Chaga mushroom tea and an Alaskan salmon treat!
