Mt Rigi is located 5000 thousand feet above sea level affording you some of the best views from the lake and the mountains of the region. The tour will start at the pier where you will set sail for a little over an hour on the Vierwaldstättersee. Upon arrival at the quaint lakeside village of Vitznau, you will board the comfortable mountain train and ascend to the top. After some time at leisure yo will initiate your descend to the base of the mountain. You will return to Lucerne on the modern railway system. Chosen for its beauty by poets and royals alike, Mt. Rigi is also a great alternative for those who want to enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the Swiss Alps, without facing the thrill of mountain gondolas.
