Summary

Meet your private guide in your hotel lobby for the drive to the Huanghuacheng section of the Great Wall. Named for the yellow flowers that bloom in midsummer, it’s been known as the Great Wall Under the Water since the Xishuiyu dam submerged several sections in 1974. Follow a mountain path to the steep and towering Great Wall, with no parapets on either side, and hike through some of the most spectacular landscapes to be found around Beijing. Enjoy plenty of stops for photos. After hours of hiking, your guide provides snacks if you get hungry before your included Chinese lunch. Once you’re done, you’re presented with a certificate and hop back in your climate-controlled vehicle for the drive back to Beijing.
