Your tour begins with pickup from your Roquetas de Mar, Aguadulce, Almerimar, or Almeria hotel in time for morning departure. Traveling aboard a comfortable air-conditioned coach, set out on the journey to Granada and enjoy the scenery as you wind through the Sierra Nevada National Park and drive along the Mediterranean Coast. There will be a short stop along the way to stretch your legs, use the restrooms, or grab a coffee. On arrival in Granada, enjoy a bus tour of the city and listen as your guide points out notable landmarks such as Granada Cathedral, Plaza Neuva, and the Royal Chapel of Granada. Finally, arrive at the star attraction, the Alhambra Palace and use your skip-the-line pass to gain priority access. After picking up your electronic audio guide, set out to explore the vast palace complex at your own pace. Learn more about the Nasrid dynasty as you visit the Nasrid Palaces, marveling at the Palacio de Comares (Comares Palace), the Patio de los Arrayanes (Court of the Myrtles), and the Salón de los Embajadores (Hall of the Ambassadors), then stop to take photos of the Patio de los Leones (Court of the Lions), with its famous "Fountain of Lions", the symbol of the Alhambra. Continue to the Palace of Charles V and admire the contrasting Renaissance and Islamic style architecture, then look out over the city from the Alcazaba, the oldest part of the Alhambra. Finally, stroll around the idyllic Generalife Gardens, the former summer residence of Granada’s Muslim kings and one of the oldest surviving Moorish gardens in the world. Before setting out on the return journey, you will have free time in Granada to enjoy lunch (own expense), browse the shops for souvenirs, or sightsee independently. Back in Almeria, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
