Alentejo Wine Tour from Lisbon Including Lunch

In the morning, meet your guide at your centrally located Lisbon hotel and head by air-conditioned vehicle south for your wine tour. As you cruise towards the Alentejo region, learn about this region’s viticultural prowess.

Hear about the vastness of this region which links the Algarve in southern Portugal all the way to the edge of Spain. At the first winery, taste a variety of red and white wines and savour delicious local products such as cheese, chouriço (smoked pork sausage), smoked ham and bread. You will then enjoy a relaxing buffet lunch (included) at the first or second winery depending on the group size.

Prior to arriving at the second winery of the day in Alentejo, discover the historical significance of winemaking and learn how this region has gained such a superb reputation for full-bodied reds. Then, stroll into the expertly maintained vineyard and listen to your guide explain how each grape is affected by climate. After getting to know the varietals it’s time to taste, so grab a glass and indulge fruity flavors with complex bodies.

After your tasting, hop back in your vehicle and admire splendid views on your return trip to Lisbon. End your day in the afternoon back at a choice of two centrally located drop off points; Marquês de Pombal or Rossio.

Please contact the company at least 24 hours before the activity for exact pick-up location and time (normally between 08:00 AM to 08:45 AM).
Pick-up at your hotel (or nearest location possible) only in certain areas of the city (center). It may be required to get to a standard pick-up point (i.e Mercado da Ribeira or Saldanha areas). Parque das Nações area is not available for pick-up.
Please note that you may have to walk a short distance from your accommodation to be picked up.
English, Spanish and Portuguese are available all year round. French, Italian, Russian and Romanian ONLY ON REQUEST (according to availability).

It's a good idea to wear tennis shoes or other appropriate footwear for the tour and bring along a bottle of water. In summer bring your sunscreen and in winter it gets very cold so make sure you bring a jacket.

In case of adverse weather conditions (e. g. heavy rain), the tour will not be canceled, unless there are warnings and alerts by official organisms.
We are not responsible for any traffic congestion in the city, resulting from cultural, sport and religious events, or even demonstrations / strikes, etc. However we will always offer alternatives to avoid these situations; one of them is to change the pick-up and drop-off locations. Unfortunately, this may be transmitted without prior notice.
