After early morning hotel pickup in Delhi, travel with your guide in your private air-conditioned car to Agra.
During the 3-hour drive, stop at a small village for breakfast at a cafe where your guide can facilitate conversation with the locals. When you arrive in Agra, go first to the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that sits on the hills overlooking the city. Explore the fort complex, built of sandstone in 1565 and containing courtyards, private chambers, and mosques.
Next up, stop for a vegetarian lunch at a local home, where you are welcome to join your hosts in the kitchen to gain insight about the basics of Indian cuisine. After lunch, continue to the Taj Mahal, where a local guide offers informative commentary on the stunning architecture and history of this World Heritage Site.
In the evening, return to Delhi by road where your tour ends with hotel drop-off about 9:30pm.
