Afternoon Tea Bus Tour London

I’d been really excited about doing this since booking it, but unfortunately it didn’t quite meet our expectations. That said, I’m still glad we did it. The food was actually very nice. I’m vegetarian, and I was particularly pleased that they made an effort with the vegetarian options rather than simply giving me cheese sandwiches or egg mayonnaise. I had a lovely focaccia with cheese and pesto, a Quorn spicy protein wrap and a Quorn ‘ham’ roll. The cakes were nice too. You also get to keep the hot drink cup which is cute One thing I would say, particularly if you’ve seen videos of this experience on TikTok, is don’t expect the ABBA atmosphere shown in any of those videos. The ABBA music is played very quietly in the background. There isn’t any singing along, getting everyone involved, or the whole bus loudly singing Dancing Queen. It’s actually very quiet on board, with people mainly talking amongst themselves while the music plays in the background, and there is no staff participation in anything. So if you’re booking because you’re expecting a big ABBA singalong and party atmosphere, that this isn’t what our experience was like. The person serving the afternoon tea and hot drinks was absolutely lovely, very polite and friendly, and they did come around and offer to take photographs for people. There isn’t really a tour guide as such; it’s mainly a voiceover giving you basic information as you pass the different sights. I had booked this for my daughter’s 30th birthday, so it was supposed to be a special experience for myself and my two daughters. Unfortunately, my daughter whose birthday it was became unwell, so my five-year-old granddaughter came in her place. The staff were happy for her to take her mam’s place, and as the adult afternoon tea had already been paid for, she was able to enjoy it too, which was appreciated. However, one of the other disappointments was that, despite them knowing I had booked this for a 30th birthday because I had emailed in advance, we weren’t seated together. The bus was only about half full, yet two of us were seated at the very front of the top deck and the third person was sitting directly behind. There were three seats together right at the front, so it would have been perfectly possible for us to sit together. Instead, there was a lone traveller sitting in one of those seats. It really took away from what should have been a special family experience as I wasn’t able to sit next to my two family members, instead I just saw the back of their heads for most of it. Unfortunately, the day also ended with something much more upsetting. While I went down the hill in the station to meet my husband, who had brought my granddaughter to join us, I left my rucksack with my adult daughter, who was sitting beside it. Someone managed to steal the rucksack from right outside the bus. There were quite a few people around, and it must have happened incredibly quickly, but all of my belongings were taken. So if you do this experience, please keep your belongings with you at all times and be extremely careful with bags, even if you think they are being watched. Overall, I’m glad we did it, and there were certainly some positives, particularly the food and the fact that they accommodated my granddaughter. But unfortunately, the seating arrangements, the difference between the ABBA atmosphere shown online and what we actually experienced, and the theft really put a dampener on what was supposed to be a special celebration. Obviously not the fault of the company but just adding it to the review to ensure you are vigilant if there

Did not have a good experience very overpriced for what you got we got half a cup of cold tea in a plastic cup. The sandwiches was not very nice and not traditional, and the scones were unable as they was dry as anything and just crumbled in your hand we was on the lower deck. My Mum could not see out the window as there were stickers all over it. There was no guide, and it felt rushed not worth the money very disappointed.

Fabulous way to see London and experience afternoon tea. I have done a couple of afternoon tea bus tours and this one is best so far. The seating v comfortable. Route really good long enough. The food yummy. They contact you if you put any special requests re food. The mix of sandwiches good. Scone v fresh. Sweet treats 😋 . A complimentary cold drink as you start the tour which includes prosecco ,orange juice. You are given a hot drink half way through which was hot but not scolding. I liked that you put your own milk and sugar into your souvenir cup. If you don't manage to eat all the food you are offered a takeaway box so you can take it away with you. Then we were offered a bottle of water. The meeting point easy to find It is a 2 minute walk to victoria train station. The staff were so friendly and welcoming The bus was clean My only negative is one that you only get 1 hot drink. This is the same on all of these type tours though. Definitely recommend

The food was great, people were great. Everything was great!!!! 😊♥️. Hetal and Ameen, Plus Ivan the driver were very professional and nice.

Food qty is sufficient and we are highly appreciated of the drinks refill.
