Description

The Harpers Ferry Aerial Adventure Park offers a variety of aerial forest challenge ropes courses, with different difficulty levels and ample space spread across 4 wooded acres. It provides a fun and engaging experience for individuals of all ages.

Our courses offer approximately 12 elements, including ziplines. Children can enjoy activities such as leaping across hanging lily pads, navigating a wobble bridge, and climbing a tree-stump ladder. Additionally, we have 2 courses specifically designed for children aged 4-6, featuring the Saferoller Continuous Belay System, Adventure Trail, and Ultimate Tree House. These activities provide hours of fun for children in this age group.

The Edelrid Smart Belay System is used on our other courses to ensure that everyone is always harnessed and clipped to safety lines. The Harpers Ferry area, located just an hour away from Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD, offers a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful outdoors!

Where are we located?

River Riders is only 1 ½ hours drive time from downtown Baltimore, MD or Washington DC. Located in Harpers Ferry, WV on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. We offer rafting, tubing, kayaking, biking, canoeing, an aerial adventure park, and zip line canopy tour, All closer than you think.

What is the weather policy?

All trips go out rain or shine. We reserve the right to relocate or change raft size, number of customers per raft, and length of trips due to abnormal river flow and conditions.

Are pets allowed? Can I bring my dog? Can I bring my Emotional Support Animal?

River Riders is pet/support animal friendly and welcomes guests to bring well behaved dogs with them on the Potomac Play Pass activity. Guests must drive themselves to the launch point with their pet which is only 2 miles from the main office check-in location. We always recommend that pet owners bring a PFD “life jacket” for their pets. River Riders also has a kennel rental option for those wanting to board their pet during their trip.

What tips shuould I know beforehand?

Be on time. We cannot wait for late arrivals. Plan to check in 1 hour before your trip’s departure time so you will have time to get your gear and take care of last minute personal chores. We reserve the right to cancel without a refund in the event you arrive after your confirmed trip time.

Leave your rings, jewelry and valuables at home. We suggest you not take expensive cameras or phones on the river.
